The 39th Vilenica International Literary Festival was successfully awarded at the Jame Dance Hall, as in previous years. The Vilenica Prize was awarded to Miljenko Jergović by the expert committee in 2024.
This time, the closing event was the result of the cooperation of two festivals – the 9th Book Festival and the Mesto knjige fair ended in Vilenica at the same time with an energetic concert by the band Grunt.
As has been the case from the very beginning, the members of the Sežana Cave Association helped to organize the closing event of the festival and contributed to the smooth running of the event with their voluntary work. Guests were greeted at the entrance and guided to the entrance of the cave. They also made sure that, despite the increased number of participants, everyone was guaranteed a seat and could answer questions about the cave.
As we in the Sežana Cave Association are not resting on our laurels, we are already actively preparing for the anniversary award ceremony of the 40th Vilenica International Literary Festival, which will take place in 2025.
