When are guided tours of the cave available?
Guided tours for individuals are available on Sundays and holidays at 3 pm, from April 1 to October 31. Organized groups can plan a visit year-long with advance notice.
Is the cave suitable for children?
Children under the age of 14 can only visit Vilenica when accompanied by an adult.
How long is the tour?
The visit takes about an hour.
Are pets allowed in the cave?
Pets are not allowed in the cave, as their presence can change the fragile ecosystem.
What languages do the guides speak?
The guides offer tours in Slovenian, English, Italian, and Serbo-Croatian.
Can I use a camera?
In underground caves, photography and filming are only permitted with prior permission from the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning.
Is the cave accessible to the disabled?
Due to the 525 steps leading into and out of the cave, the cave is not suitable for people with limited mobility.
Can you see bats in the cave?
Bats in Vilenica are very rare, so you can only see them with a lot of luck.

These are organisms such as algae, mosses, bacteria, and ferns that thrive in excessive light in tourist caves.
